DESCRIPTION
This is a control deck that utilizes the sideboard as a catch-all answer box for every match up, thanks to Mastermind's Acquisition. Going against super friends? The Immortal Sun has you covered. Opponent thinks it's cute to play Atraxa +1/+1 counters? Answer them with Solemnity, and don't forget to hold a Counterspell up when you play it! Homeboy spent his family's savings on a dredge deck? Cool story bro, Phyrexian Scriptures and Nhilih Spellbomb will make scoop it up. Just sick of seeing a certain card? Unmoored Ego. The advantage of having you side deck as a toolbox is that the rest of your deck can focus on the control aspect, which grants much more stable and consistent deck performance to shutdown most, if not all, of their deck.
Mending of Dominaria: For long games (control v.s. control match-ups, etc.) to replenish deck.
Nexus of Fate: Fail-safe against milling. Can also help by giving Teferi 2 activations, attacking twice, and desperately drawing cards.
Conquistador's Galleon: Again, long games, it's to be able to fish for specific cards in the graveyard.
Banefire: Close out long games.
Azor, the Lawbringer: Extra card draw and life gain.
Nicol Bolas, the Ravager: Utility. Does a lot of different things in a stalemate.
Reliquary Tower: Oh you'll need it at times.
Not much else to say about the deck. I consider the deck to be in mid- to late-beta testing. This was a deck I made from scratch in MTGA and have "ported" over to the modern format for paper play.
