DESCRIPTION
On BudgetEDH we build fun and optimized commander decks with a pre-set budget in mind. In this week's episode, we build a $100 budget Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca deck from the Magic the Gathering set Rivals of Ixalan. Kumena is a legendary merfolk that has powerful synergy with tapping merfolk that you control. We built this deck as merfolk tribal deck, deploying merfolk early to take advantage of Kumena's abilities of tapping our Merfolk and gaining advantage throughout the game. In addition, we have a lot of tapping and untapping shenanigans in this deck allowing us to tap and untap our merfolk multiple times in a turn rotation. We also have a counters subtheme in the deck allowing our merfolk to get big and swing in for lethal damage on our opponents.
