DESCRIPTION
A new variation of the UG Simic Ramp/Flash decks for Standard-Legal once Theros Beyond Death is legal.
This one addresses the previous decks' problems with aggressive creature decks by main-boarding more of it's own creatures until Uro or another bomb like Nissa or Ambusher get online.
Play Strategy: This deck is all about tempo and card advantage. Most of the cards replace themselves by drawing another card, or give you multiple uses or tokens that the opponent must address or eventually get overrun. In the early game you use your cheaper spells like Unsummon, Petty Theft, and Quench to get your opponent "off schedule" while you ramp up your lands with Growth Spirals and Uro. Mid-game mana advantage allows you to start dropping threats like Lovestruck Beast or Brazen Borrower to pressure them into trying to play catch up. By late game you likely have enough cards in graveyard or manna to escape Uro, or play Ambusher/Nissa and back them up with hard counters like Sinister Sabotage or Frilled Mystic.
Sideboard is untested, but is geared to change your deck into the more traditional control-deck variety if the situation calls for it. This deck's ability to completely change its identity post-sideboard makes it theoretically very hard to game-plan against. Enjoying a 90%+ win rate on Arena. Good luck!
