played this one in 1998 1999 as a fun combo deck that actually fared pretty well locally, likely because it was so rouge.
the idea behind the deck is fairly simple generate a ton of mana and then burn or deck your opponent. it really works in three steps
1) search your deck for the combo
2) generate mana and draw cards
3) burn
1) searching the deck
this is your early game. brainstorm, ponder, impulse, and preordain to find the pieces of the combo. in particular, youre looking for early harvest and mana flare. you can run the combo without the mana flare but you can go off sooner with it
2) generate mana and draw cards
with a mana flare on the table you can now start to go nuts. early harvest to untap your lands and replenish your mana pool. use prosperity to draw cards, always leaving ggu in your pool for another early harvest, or at the very least a summer bloom. eventually youll draw through your deck (and maybe your opponents), at which point you should be able to empty your hand of lands and mana flares. now it becomes fun, recursing early harvest, gaeas blessing, and preordain in order to constantly untap and tap your lands for mana
3) burn
pretty straight forward. once youre tired of tapping and untapping, banefire them into oblivion.
