DESCRIPTION
the trick to this deck is to have at the very least a land and a ramp spell in your opening hand. you need to ramp on turn 1 and have a second forest by turn 2 for a 2nd turn land destruction. you need an arbor elf as well as a utopia sprawl in order to play a 4 mana land destruction on the 2nd turn. the combo is (acidic slime or avalanche riders) + (splinter twin or conjurers closet). this is a tempo based combo deck so there is no effort to tutor up the combo. its necessary to get the jump on your opponent so you can pin them down and keep hammering away at their land until you get the combo. chandra is there to keep the cards flowing if you stumble. shes also good against 1 toughness creatures from an aggro deck. if your opponent slips out of your grasp, chandras ultimate could make 3 copies of roiling terrain, molten rain, or even magma jet for the win. i chose magma jet over lightning bolt because the scrying can help ensure that lando cards keeping flowing. 4 splinter twins would be nice, but i unfortunately didnt pick them up while they were cheap. on the other hand, i like the fact that conjurers closet can be played before acidic slime and avalanche riders whereas splinter twin cannot.
