this deck is also pauper legal. this is the first of what i hope will be many modern pauper decks that i build. this is a standard red burn beatdown deck that finishes with geopede and zektar shrine expedition. the explorers scope is a landfall engine and helps you topdeck burn and creatures more reliably. the nonbasics help you pull off landfall tricks. the philosophy is to have each card contribute as much damage as possible for the least mana possible. the landfall portion of the deck tries to turn each land into a potential extra 2 damage. turning all of your lands into extra damage = card advantage. the rest of the cards are all more or less bolt equivalent so the deck isnt crippled if they remove your geopedes and shrines. however, if you find yourself with no landfall cards in play should sandbag your lands as the deck tops out at rift bolt, and you can just suspend that for r anyway.
