DESCRIPTION

Alright, a bit of info first. This deck is not "turbo pro win every game in 3 turns", it is however super fun and full of flavour, and that flavour is spicy. There are a few different ways to push a Devil Burn, from a token generator burn to hard creature aggro. I have focused this build in more of a non-combat damage burn at low mana costs. Now I can hear your concerns already, and I will do my best to explain and offer alternatives for a more streamlined experience if you so desire. Vexing Devil: I hear a lot that this card is bad or in some way not worth the 1 Red mana it takes to cast, usually on the grounds that they won't take the damage to cancel the summoning if they have some form of targeted removal. This is, in my opinion, a silly argument. If someone removes your devil (with a spell) it is their own foolish mistake. Not many spells will get rid of Vexing Devil for the one mana you spent on him, putting you at an advantage they are out more mana and a spell that you now don't have to worry about. Infectious Bloodlust: Apart from the art which fits our theme, this card is great for making your Cacklers a huge pain in the ass. If your Cacklers are unleashed they won't be blocking anyway, so they may as well attack every turn. Not to mention you get to pull one from your library when the enchanted creature dies. Rakdos Cackler: Unleash this card, blocking is not something you'll be doing often. Also dropping a Cackler for 1, an Infectious Bloodlust for 2, and a teetering peek to top it all off, you have a 6/3 with haste on turn 4. Make Mischief: Now I'm not going to sugar coat this, this card is more or less trash, and I will explain. The minimum damage of this card is 3, for 2R at SORCERY SPEED. It simply costs too much for the effect at the speed, if it were instant that would be one thing, but alas it is so slow. Most lightning bolt like effects, dealing 3 damage to a target, have been bumped to 1R or had the speed reduced. Simply put in a world where Galvanic Bombardment can do (potentially) 5 damage for 1 red mana at instant speed, this card is just plain not good. And with all of that out of the way this necessary in getting delirium online, and Devil tokens are just the worst to deal with. Gibbering Fiend: This creature is a secret powerhouse, not on his own mind you, but with delirium online 2 or 3 of them on the field makes your opponent dread you passing your turn. There are exactly enough card types to get delirium online, so if there is trouble getting it on you can always add an evolving wilds for a land in the grave or Rakdos Keyrune, which turns into a 3/1 devil that your opponents will not hesitate to block, they will think they are denying your mana not realizing this was all a ploy. Piranha Marsh/why add black at all: This land deals damage when it is played, that is a damage that can't be countered and since the black is very lite in the deck, the land entering tapped is not a big deal. I can hear you now, "Why even bother with this meagre amount black?" and the answer is fairly easy, "Because it is funny." It also means you can potentially deal damage with every card you set in a turn, something that can quickly irritate opponents. This is mainly so we can get a couple of kill spells Dreadbore to deal with planeswalkers or tragic slip indestructible fatties (with tokens triggering morbit is cake). Squealing devil also has to be sacked if you don't use a black which can be helpful for that fear he has. Protip: Bounce one back to your hand with the Carnarium and play it again for maximum laughs. Charmbreaker Devils: This lets you get your valuable burn spells and token producers back if you have to draw the game out. Throw on his +4/0 on a spell cast and he becomes trouble quick. Tibalt: Yes I know he is literally the worst ever forever, but he is theme appropriates so that is his main draw. A turn 2 planeswalker may help take a hit or 2 early game but overall not worth. He can be replaced with Bedlam Reveler or a second Sin Prodder for an easy value. Bojuka Bog: This is solely to deal with unwanted graveyard shenanigans, if this is not a problem with the people you play with replace it with a Teetering peeks to round out the playset. Devil tokens: These guys are basically the worst, and super expendable. Dealing damage to target when they die, makes them great for holding to block or going all in. While the cost of the spells to make them can be a bit high they typically work out in your favour since they are such a bother to get rid of, only really being safely sent back to hand or exiled as a means of removal. And that is basically the gist of it, play as fast and low as you can. This deck will get comments from your group if for no other reason than being so cool it hurts.
