DESCRIPTION
slap any of the 3 varieties of fog onto an isochron scepter , and all aggro decks are shut down. sylvan scrying pulls out your win con, while explore filters and gets you winning faster. amulet of vigor is fantastic for the gates and maze, but are crazy good with the maze itself (not to mention the effect stacks!) crackling perimeter zings troublesome planeswalkers and acts as an alternate win condition (especially game two after theyve sided in blood moon). primeval titan is a champion in this deck- even if he simply dies before getting a chance to attack, his etb effect is valuable enough on its own to be worth it. but as his cmc is fairly high, i found that 2 is the perfect amount to have in the deck. and finally, after experimenting, 4 maindeck leyline of sanctity is more often useful than not, because the decks that dont get stopped by isochron fog get stopped by the leyline (discard, burn, storm, etc). between the fog effects and that, youre in a fortress.
sideboard-wise, the local meta is a bit tron eldrazi heavy, and ensnaring bridge is the best anti-eldrazi out there (because fog doesnt protect from annihilator). the wear n tear is mostly for blood moons (tap a white source in response to them casting it), and can hit things like birthing pod, pithing needle, etc. the other sideboard choices are mostly versatile counterspells (against non-creature based decks) and a bit of removal (for the creature decks that work around my fortress). pithing needle should be in all sideboards ever, because they have a target against 90% of modern decks. im looking for critiques :)
