Mirage and Spreading Seas look like crap, yes. But in this meta, they RULE. Jund gets to not play spells, Vamps lose splash colors, any 5cc variant gets hosed, and other control decks get to play only islands and some other useless color (usually forests). The cascade makes it consistant, resiliant, and overall a lot of fun. Looks odd until you try it.
