DESCRIPTION

this deck is awesome. ive only played this deck in two fnms but im teally diggin it. i made some strange choices on a few cards but i have a reason for everything. wall of omens is an ok drop against aggro but really its there for a draw effect. lone missionary is pimp. unlike wall he can attack, blocks and trades with hero of oxid ridge, and gives a respectable life cushion against aggro. oblivion ring is just a near perfect removal spell, it has drawbacks but i couldnt leave it out. beast within however is perfect. opponents titan to big?, cut him in half. netdecker with cawblade? take out his sword. valakut ha bye bye. pilgrims eye, awesome. trades with hawks and makes sure youfind your fourth land and your one of three forests. solemn gets you to 5, chumps and finds forests. day of judgment wins games, singlehandedly stops a multitude of decks. doj, also works great with an end of turn beast within on a land. batterskull and baneslayer finish against aggro and are counterbait for control. wurmcoil is end of the road for aggro and is another 4 turn clock. sun titan makes the control player cry. i only ran basics on my manasources so tec edges and ruinblasters wont ruin my day, and im pretty much mono white. no tec edge targets literally blank four cards out of most decks. sun titan and tec edge is a lot of fun. i didnt really put much thought in the board but grand abolisher is sick btw. my first fnm with this deck i went 5-0 taking 1st beating all my opponents in 2 games. i played a blue green amulet deck which was interesting but not very competitive. a mono red, batterskull ftw. mono black control midrange,. an illusion deck. and finally tempered steel. after sweeping fnm i thought it had some merit but many of my stores more competitive players were out of town for gen con. i attempted again two weeks later when there was a full crowd with the same unchanged 75. i finished 5-1 and in fourth, .05% away from 3rd. i defeated mono black control, blue black control, valakut, blue white control w emeria angel hawks n gravitational shift, and cawblade, all in 2 games. my loss came to a friend taking 1st place 6-0 with brian kiblers blade breaker deck. if we played out 100 games i would say this deck would win at least 40 games against that one. but either way if your tired of same old boring standard deck try something new yoj might be suprised.
