DESCRIPTION
The Goal of this deck is to Dominate the early game battlefield with counterspells and prison cards. Once your opponent has expended all their recourses is when you drop a massive card of your own such as an Azor. This is a great card to drop late game as it is often a game winner. From that point on you will have basically one the game. Any threats your opponent casts will be countered or nullified.
The key to this deck is patience and strategy. As long as you counter the correct cards and hold the battlefield early to mid game you should have the game in the bag.
I have been playing this deck ever since the release of War of The Spark, and have dominated FNM. It answers Esper control, Dragon-God Grixis, and even Mono-Red without any effort
The main hard counter that I have encountered has been Black/Red Sac. But making sure you save cards like Ixalan's Binding for cards like Priest of Forgotten Gods and Dreadhorde Butcher can make all the difference
You have cards in your sideboard to answer some powerful decks such as Narset's reversal to counter Simic Nexus. You also have The Wanderer to counter Mono-Red Burn and Black/Red Sac
In the land base you also have Detection Tower. this is to give you the ability to target big creatures such as Carnage Tyrant.
