the weakness of jund (as i see it), its that i does not have any good answers to bsa or jwar sphinx, and it does not have any exiles to handle thornlings. furthermore, it has no card draws for the long midrangy matchups. by splashing for white, you get bsa vs jwar isle (and itself), and ajani that can keep bsa tapped until you draw a removal, and exiles for those thornlings. furthermore i got some carddraw in the sideboard, for those really long mid-range vs mid-range control matches.
