DESCRIPTION
original idea is from dan ecksteins article http: www.mananation.com magic-
classroom-inspirations
the point of this deck is essentially to keep your opponents at bay by dampening their mana base with off color lands and land destruction (this strategy is already employed by a few decks in standard because of how shifty the mana base is in a lot of the current top tier decks. the end game plan is to then use warp world to create massive field advantage by having far more permanents than almost any other deck in standard right now. again read the article i linked and youll get a better explanation as well as some rough win percentages.
this is my post-worldwake version. the avenger, i feel, is a better choice pre-warp and most of the time is better post warp than the baloths but it does cost one more mana so i have the baloths in the sideboard just in case. the roil elementals are for other decks that have a lot of permanents (such as elfdrazi green) so that post-warp (or if you can get it off pre-warp) you will still have field advantage. the kazuul tyrants are for slowing down aggro decks(by far the greatest enemy of this deck) by making them pay for every attacker and blocking each attack if they dont.
obviously the tectonic edges would fit into this deck ridiculously well but the mana base is kind of shifty as it is so i cant figure out how to fit them in. please feel free to add your ideas and comments!
