this deck is about synergy: you play some basic esper control (linger souls, feeling of dread, supreme verdict) until your graveyard comes into play. cast breaking entering on yourself. youll put spells in the yard for flashback, and creatures to reanimate or feed to skaab ruinator, who, as a 5 6 flyer, is criminally underlooked. dont have the creatures to feed it? unburial rites gets around the drawback. mindshrieker is the hidden ace of this deck: its a mild-self mill, but the body is where it stands. with four mana open you can bluff a body to trade with any burning-tree human, and, uncontested, it eats in the air. there are 20 different cards here that give your bird at least a +5 +5, and only 23 lands. plus, even a small spell like a feeling of dread or a lingering souls gives you quasi-card advantage on-top of your evasive attacker. in the mirror-match, mirror-mad phantasm truly shines. its a self protecting five-power flier which turns into an enormous self-mill machine. too much mill? lab maniac out of the sideboard is the funniest way to win a drawn-out game.
