disclaimer: this is my pauper commander deck. its a format me and a lot of my friends play. basically, its the same as regular commander. except, you play with no rares,(with the exception of any rare thats been printed as common or uncommon) and can pick any non-rare creature as your general. the only banned common or uncommon cards are the ones already on the recommended commander banned list. it sounded dumb when i first thought about it, but then we actually tried it ,then actually tried to make good decks, and it turned out to be fun =] this is my take on a carvern harpy deck. i mainly get card advantage from being able to bounce and replay my creatures. theyll play a creature, ill kill it. same thing will happen again next turn. ill chittering rat them. and again. and again. i basically lock them down with either chittering rats, or ritualist, or crystal shard shenanigans with evoke cratures and faceless butcher or mesmeric fiend. and unless you exilemy guys, i just get them back with tortured existance, crossroads or reclemation. then, when i get unspeakable symbol, inkfathom with, or puffer extract, i just win with general damage. thats usually how one-on-one goes. i havent lost a 1v1 pauper commander game yet. ive actually won some games against a few actual commander decks. but in a multiplayer game, i become a target fast and usually lose. ill play a guy, not attack, say go, bounce, replay, not attack, and i do that a bit, so my card advantage from 1v1 becomes moot in a multiplayer. this is where i came for advice. anybody else play a format like this before? any tips?
