DESCRIPTION
alternate commander: vorinclex, voice of hunger.
omnath and vorinclex are both pretty detested generals, but ive considered other monogreen generals and not found anything too interesting. azusa would work better if i added a lot more lands, and nemata and the green kamahl lean the deck more towards tokens.
i have a few combos synergies like cream of the crop + lurking predators, but not as many as could be in a monogreen deck.
the focus is not really on explosive speed but on ramp and card draw and also some focus on resilience- paleoloth, spearbreaker behemoth, artisan of kozilek, etc.
i dont have too many dumb beaters like primalcrux and khalni hydra
i dont have a gaeas cradle but i dont think its too critical because i dont expect to have very many creatures out at once. my playgroup is kind of heavy with sweepers.
there are a few other green edh staples im missing like woodfall primus, rofellos, chord of calling, etc., but i feel pretty content with this deck. im waiting to get a sylvan primordial when gatecrash ships, though i havent decided what to take out.
something i do feel is lacking is a mana sink. due to the mana doublers, i can accumulate a huge amount of mana. however, i dont feel like i have a good way to spend it. i can dump my hand but that only goes so far. i am thinking of adding ant queen and wurmcalling as a way to use extra mana, but i dont really want to go too far down the token path. anybody have other ideas of ways to spend lots of mana effectively? is the green invoker any good in edh?
suggestions for more creatures to improve my birthing pod chains will also be appreciated. i only have 2 creatures at cmc 5, and nothing i am happy to pod away at cmc 6. i dont have anything at cmc 10, so i cant pod to a worldspine wurm.
