DESCRIPTION

This is my version of a fun and effective deck for Muldrotha. The plan with the deck is to survive early game while ramping, and work on filling your graveyard as soon as possible to set up for a powerful mid to late game. This deck is designed to persist and outlast bursts of early value to swoop in and steal the game once your opponents lose gas, or before the others can catch up. And any key pieces you need can be retrieved from the graveyard by Muldrotha. Let's go over some win cons I have here. 1. Mill Obviously this deck focuses on milling as much as you can. Pieces that do this constantly, such as Splinterfright and Nyx Weaver, can help. However, there are a few cards that do multiple at once. Mirror-Mad Phantasm is a great way to put half your deck into the graveyard, and Altar of Dementia depends on what creatures you have out, but can be just as effective with multiple tokens made by Izoni Thousand-Eyed, or a potentially massive creature like Splinterfright. Obviously there is the issue of milling ourselves out, but that is where we can win using either Out of the Tombs or Laboratory Maniac. Laboratory Maniac lets us win the game if we were to draw with no cards left. However, Out of the Tombs lets us pull powerful creatures out of our graveyard for free once we run out of cards in our library, and prevents us from losing through mill. Speaking of Out of the Tombs, lets go to our next tactic. 2. Going Wide With Out of the Tombs, you have the potential of building a massive board. However you still have a decent way to make an aggressive and huge board. Most of the creatures in this deck are fairly cheap, and having Gravebreaker Lamia on the field can make it cheaper. You could arguably amass a huge board to throw at people, and not worry too much about losing them since Muldrotha can pull them back out from death. Alternatively, I was considering adding Living Death for this purpose, however this strategy is one I personally didn't like doing. 3. Going Tall There is also the option of going tall with your creatures. Some key cards here would be Nantuko Husk and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. Nantuko Husk works as a sacrifice outlet, growing bigger and bigger with each creature you sacrifice to it. However these bonuses disappear at the end of your turn. Meanwhile, Mazirek is handy in making ALL your creatures bigger when you sacrifice permanents. You could focus on making only a few creatures big with this and swing hard. 4. The "Aristocrat" Way Speaking of sacrificing creatures, there are some pieces in here that benefit from you sacrificing creatures. Blood Artist and Syr Konrad both deal damage when a creature dies, and everyone knows that damage can add up REALLY fast. What makes this even better? Dictate of Erebos. This will cause even more creatures to die and deal even more damage. I personally find this way hilarious to try and win with, but it definitely tests the deck's endurance and defense, so prepare for a long game. This deck takes a while to get the ball rolling, but once you get it going, it can be somewhat difficult to stop. I really love this deck and I'd love to see what you all think of it. There is definitely room for improvement somewhere and I want to know what you guys would change or take out.
