DESCRIPTION
I have seen several low-cost builds to Volo so I was inspired to make my own.
Realizing I had shelved a lot of the energy creatures from the Kaladesh/Aether blocks and they can combo with Volo's ability to quickly generate energy counters. Aetherworks Marvel once in play can be used pretty consistently with little downside.
A few odd picks: Rhonas and Kefnet (though Rhonas is rarely without a punching buddy, and Kefnet can bounce my own lands with helps with the few landfall creatures)
