DESCRIPTION
I have been playing around with the deck for the last few days and I am really enjoying it. The basic premise is to stall the opponents land development and either beat face with flyers or lock them with capsize and buyback. The draw in this deck is amazing as is the ability to filter though cards to find capsize if needed. This is done by bouncing or sliding the snakes, augers, and muldrifters.
I think the manabase needs a little work, I occasionally have to many forests, etc. and the sideboard really is undeveloped. I should probably add moments peace instead of tangle, etc. Let me know what you think I am open to suggestions.
A quick note on some card selections:
Hoodwink: great turn two to bounce a land, bonus if its a bounce land or a tap land. Also useful to bounce O-Rings and Artifacts typically sideboarded for naturalise against affinity.
Fade Away: This card is a rock star in this deck, against agro or elves this is an i win button. In a format without real board sweepers this is as close as you will come. In addition many agro decks will opt to sac land instead of beaters making this a particularly good fit for the deck.
Rishadan Cutpurse: Blue stone rain early game, dead weight late game. I am really on the fence with this one. Personally I love the idea of it but some games its just lacklustre. I have on occasion abused the S** out of it with bounce spells or the Drakes slide ability so for now it makes the cut.
Wormfang Drake: This guy is a rockstar, not only does he fly and survive a lightning bolt, his slide ability draws us cards and ramps our land. He might be good enough to make him a 4 of and push the deck a little more agro based.
This deck is super budget on MTGO if you want to give it a shot. Feel free to make suggestions, after I fix the sideboard I am going to try a few leagues with it. I will let you know how I do.
